Role Description

Our client is a recognised leader in the NZ apparel industry having manufactured, designed, and sold clothing to some of New Zealand’s largest corporates, schools, and retailers under several in-house brands for over 15 years. They produce high quality, cutting edge technical clothing and are proud to be 100% kiwi owned and operated.

An exciting opportunity is available for an energetic, bright and positive team player to join the team as Sales Coordinator in a maternity leave cover.

The successful applicant will be process driven with a keen eye for detail, possess the ability to meet deadlines while working closely with suppliers.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Report directly to the VMG General Manager.
  • Supporting the VMG Sales Account Managers with current projects.
  • Supporting the wider VMG team and logistics department with coordinating projects.
  • Communicating with customers via phone, email, and social media to maximise the customer experience.
  • Help drive and maintain a strong brand presence for VMG amongst the NZ Marine industry.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, manage, and process orders received from accounts when required.
  • Ensure lines of communication with sales personnel are open, clear and constructive.
  • Liaise with all company staff to ensure smooth process of orders from production to dispatch.
  • Assisting with sales orders and quotes as requested.
  • Assisting Account Managers with customer relationship management and order requirements for our Sponsorship Partners.
  • Support corporate sales and actively look to build a client list in the market sector.
  • Assist with general tidiness of the office and with reordering of consumable items for the office.
  • Attendance of trade shows and other industry events may be required from time to time.

Requirements

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Organisational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • A willingness to step into other parts of the business to assist when required.
  • Possess an energetic and positive attitude with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Superb communication skills, a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • A commitment to building fantastic relationships both internally and with our global customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in PC applications, especially MS Excel
  • Apparel experience would be preferable but not essential.
  • Proficient in PC applications, especially MS Excel
  • Full Driver Licence
