Role Description

Our client is passionate about their premium imported product fashion ranges and due to company growth they are keen to bring a junior sales person into their dedicated team.

The purpose of this position is to establish and maintain long term business with key retailers in the New Zealand market. The successful applicant will ideally have some ‘on the road’ sales experience; however we would consider applicants ready to make the change from retail sales into national sales. This is a rare opportunity for someone to build on their career in sales.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Maintain a thorough and detailed knowledge of the retail market in the categories.
  • Travel nationally for sell-in of new ranges
  • Develop plans for all key retail buying events.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the company’s capabilities, product range and processes to ensure our service levels and business objectives are met.
  • Sales reporting and analysis.
  • Share knowledge, assist your colleagues, and develop your direct reports.
  • Achieve mutually agreed sales and business targets.
  • Provide information and support to our key partners wherever required.
  • Attend meetings with colleagues and management to exchange ideas and review progress.

Requirements

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Thorough, professional and effective communication both written and oral.
  • A love of problem solving and trouble-shooting, a can do attitude.
  • Comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with many multiple projects on the go simultaneously.
  • An ability to embrace change and be flexible.
  • Highly efficient, organized and excellent time management skills.

To succeed in this role you will need to be highly motivated with excellent communication, strategic planning and sales skills in order to build, foster and maintain exceptional relationships with clients throughout New Zealand.
