Role Description

Our client, whose company has been around for over 20 years, is a niche-manufacturer of sampling kits for some of Australasia's largest textile wholesalers. Their top quality textile samples end up in customers' showrooms in New Zealand, Australia and beyond. Recently they have added homewares to their range. Their mission is to delight their customers and make their products stand out from the crowd.

About the role

The company is seeking a junior Cutter and experience is not essential. This is a junior position and an excellent opportunity for someone to get their career underway with great training provided. Ideally the successful candidate will have some apparel experience and understand fabrics.

Responsibilities and Skills

  • Fabric cutting and general fabric sample making e.g. folding, labelling, collating.

Requirements

Essential Attributes:

  • Ideally some experience at fabric cutting / pattern cutting.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work diligently and meet quality and production standards.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Be physically fit.

The successful candidate will likely have worked in the apparel industry with some knowledge of fabrics. You will be known for your integrity, attention to detail, diligence and being a team player. This is a great opportunity for a junior to start out on their career path.
