Role Description

Our client is a family owned textile company passionate about their premium product, services, and their dedicated team. Their product range is extensive including bedding and accessories, towels, bath accessories, kitchen & napery, window furnishings, decorative fabric, acoustic fabric etc. Their business is growing and they are currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join their vibrant team.

The purpose of this position is to establish and maintain long term business with key retailers in the New Zealand market within the categories of homewares, building positive relationships with customers, suppliers, stake holders and to foster team work within the business.


  • Maintain a thorough and detailed knowledge of the retail market in the categories.
  • Source designs, cost product and develop presentations for buyers.
  • Present and sell product ranges.
  • Develop plans for all key retail buying events.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the company’s capabilities, product range and processes to ensure our service levels and business objectives are met.
  • Sales reporting and analysis.
  • Share knowledge, assist your colleagues, and develop your direct reports.
  • Achieve mutually agreed sales and business targets.
  • Provide information and support to our key partners wherever required.
  • Attend meetings with colleagues and management to exchange ideas and review progress.



  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Thorough, professional and effective communication both written and oral.
  • A love of problem solving and trouble-shooting, a can do attitude.
  • Comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with many multiple projects on the go simultaneously.
  • An ability to embrace change and be flexible.
  • Highly efficient, organized and excellent time management skills.
