Role Description

This company's overarching philosophy has always been to inspire and support women by creating clothing that gives them everyday self-confidence. Their head office, design room and garment development team is based in Mount Maunganui.

We are seeking an experienced full-time Production Coordinator to join their production team. The purpose of this role is to coordinate both offshore and onshore production. This role is for someone who is interested in every aspect of garment manufacturing and overseas production.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Signing off all spec sheets for production of onshore and offshore garments
• Signing off and liaising with production teams both locally and internationally on garment construction enquiries
• Communication with oversea suppliers to expedite production both timely and cost effectively
• Managing and ordering fabric and trims

Requirements

Required experience:
• At least 2-3-years’ experience in overseas production especially in Asia
• Attention to detail is essential
• Good time management
• Organisational stills
• Sound knowledge in both garment construction, ratings and yield
• Sound fabric knowledge
• Technical garment and specification experience (advanced knowledge in patterns and textiles)
• Experience with production planning and tracking of garments through the cycle
• Experience with garment sampling and working through the stages of developing garments for overseas production.
• Able to negotiate FOB prices
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills – MS office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Project management skills: Good at handling time-sensitive projects and working to deadlines
