Role Description

This is an outstanding opportunity to join the Huffer team. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and inspire the planning and design team, delivering extraordinary product and effective volume and GP management throughout the group. This is a senior position and you will be experienced in the management of all product design and development from planning through to design to manage the Huffer master product planning. You will work with the Designers, Merchandise team and MD to ensure collections are delivering the best product for our customers to the right GP. To be successful in your application you will also have a love of Streetwear and excellent communications skills.

The role:

  • Oversee the management of all product design and development from planning through to design ensuring the team are always ahead of Huffer seasonal timelines and filling the gaps continuously – 50% of role. Manage the Huffer master product planning - Work with the Designers, Merchandise team and MD to ensure collections are delivering the best product for our customers to the right GP. Ensure continuous improvement of the Planning and Design processes - Deliver unique and complete ranges to market. Ensure Huffer is growing as a brand through product.
  • Oversee all graphic design responsibilities. Ensure the Graphics team understand the annual plan and are working to a planning cycle to deliver all graphics outputs each season.
  • Oversee Inventory level management. Oversee the planning functions within the brand led by the Merchandise Planner to ensure Inventory levels are in line with company expectations of Stock on Hand. Manage the buying of inventory from seasonal indents through to continuous inventory purchasing.
  • Process improvement in Planning and Design. Enhance efficiencies through implementation of consistency and innovation of the processes throughout the brand ensuring continuous flow of product to match the Huffer timelines delivering to a DIFOTIS measure.
  • People management and development. Develop the team consisting of Merchandise Planner, Garment Design, Graphic Design and Communications design roles to ensure continuous success for the individuals and the business. Ensure that the team aligns to the company values, to work with the team members review aligned to our people plan Team member feedback is positive and supportive.
  • Continuous improvement. Deliver continuous improvement across the planning and design functions, supply and support the business in the transition to new processes.
  • Financial contribution. Deliver agreed financial KPIs including GP gains to COG’s
  • Compliance To operate within the law, governance, regulations and organisational agreements that binds us; to provide a duty of care for our people and to be accountable for our action

In addition to the above you will also need to be highly organised, focused and dedicated with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a team and to deadlines.
