Role Description

Fantastic sought after opportunity to join a successful women’s high fashion brand based in Tauranga in a Production Managers position. To be successful in your application an apparel degree is essential, ideally with a minimum of 5 years + industry experience. You’ll have a good understanding of the apparel industry and in this role you will hone on-shore production management skills. This is a small but dynamic team and a great opportunity to advance your skills around a product you will love.

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to oversee all aspects of clothing production to ensure quality garments are produced on time.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:

  • Creating specification sheets
  • Managing all aspects of production to ensure that our production team always has work, and that garments are sent to the right suppliers to ensure costs and quality are maintained and that garments meet their delivery deadlines
  • Signing off and liaising with our production team and suppliers on garment construction enquiries
  • Oversee fabric stock management and ordering of all fabrics for production
  • Keeping an accurate track of all related costs and ensuring delivery deadlines are met
  • Oversee maintenance of machines and equipment
  • Embrace new technologies, policies and procedures to move the business forward
  • Ensure fluid, effective and positive relationships and communications between the design director, design team and production team.
  • Ensure our production team thrives so they are always well-briefed and motivated.

Requirements

Required experience:

  • Onshore Production experience is essential
  • Sound knowledge in garment construction, ratings and yield
  • Fabric knowledge and Costing experience
  • Technical garment and specification experience (advanced knowledge in patterns and textiles)
  • Experience with production planning and tracking of garments throughout the cycle

You will also need to be super organized, focused and dedicated, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadline.
