Garment Technician Christchurch
An experienced Garment Tech is required for a Christchurch off-shore production fashion company
Role Description
This is a great career move for an experienced Garment Tech to join one of New Zealand’s leading fashion/apparel companies based in Christchurch.
Utilizing your offshore production experience, strong communication skills and technical garment knowledge you will be completing garment specifications and sample prototypes while in liaison with the Merchandise Manager. You will ensure the sample approval process runs smoothly and accurately, with garments made to the agreed specifications and quality levels.
To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role you will need working knowledge of garment specifications, patternmaking, grading and garment fits.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to draw using computer software
- Relevant qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and off-shore production knowledge
- Ability to problem solve from garment specifications
- Time management skills and ability to multi task.
