Designer Maternity wear

- At least 5 years’ experience in women’s wear design development in offshore production
Our client is based in Hamilton and is open to applicants who are able to work remotely. The company has enjoyed a successful growth path and is seeking to add a Fashion Designer with off-shore production experience to their happy team. Initially this role will be part-time of approx 30 hours plus per week and the successful applicant would be able to work from their own home.
In this role you will manage development of new design styles, create garment spec sheets, ensuring size consistency throughout the brand and liaise with manufactures in China. You will need to have good knowledge of fabrics and be able to come up with new styles for the brand by having an understanding of what new mums like to wear.
The role:
As a designer you will assist the head designer in all aspects of range planning/production and design. You will have some areas of autonomy working on designs and print development.
Requirements
You will also have:
- At least 5 years fashion industry experience.
- Computer skills – at a highly competent level.
- Strong garment technical knowledge.
- Off-shore production experience.
- Fabric design would be a plus.
