Buyer - Women's fashion
A rare opportunity for an experienced senior fashion Buyer to join iconic NZ brand
Role Description
Our client is an Iconic New Zealand women’s wear fashion retailer seeking a Senior Buyer. This role will manage the entire buyer responsibilities for the brand, maintaining all buying decisions and managing budgets effectively and profitably. You will have proven experience in fashion buying with successful results record, have extensive knowledge of garments, fabrications and fits and a natural eye for fashion trends.
The main responsibilities will be:
- Identifying key seasonal trends relevant to buyer ship.
- Reporting on successes and missed opportunities within the bran
- Build sound and lasting partnership with strategic suppliers both domestically and offshore.
- Conduct competitor analysis to ensure the brand maintain competitive advantage.
- Monitoring each styles development from concept through to finished product.
- Work with Planning Manager to manage stock sell through.
- Focus costing comparatives to maximise margins.
Requirements
Required experience:
- Buyer ship in women’s fashion at a senior level.
- Sound business acumen for costings, budget and planning.
- The ability to lead a team.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
